Tooth Whitening
A professional chemical treatment applied to the teeth to lighten their natural color and remove deep-set stains. This is for patients with healthy teeth and gums who want to brighten their smile safely.
Without intervention
Natural teeth continue to take on stain. Cosmetic work planned later may need a higher ceramic shade to match.

- Duration
- Home trays over 2 weeks, or one visit in surgery
- Recovery
- Transient sensitivity is common
- Longevity
- Shade holds for months to a few years with top-ups
- Anesthesia
- None

Questions
Will my crown match afterwards?
No. Ceramics keep their original colour. We plan shade for new work after whitening.
Is shop-bought gel the same?
Strength and tray fit differ. We prescribe a concentration suited to your teeth.
